The challenge course is an Outdoor Learning Classroom that focuses on building teamwork growth communication, just getting to know the people that you're out here with.
There are many environments that people thrive and learn in and one of those environments is the outdoors, so we have an opportunity for students and groups and people to come out here and get to know each other better and find that unity within their group.
All challenge courses are facilitated by Jax RecWell staff members, they will run through several activities in the River House and then they will come out to the Outdoor Learning Classroom where we will go through eight different elements of the Challenge Course.
The different challenge course elements that we have out here we have zigzag which is a puzzle to try to balance and get from one end to the other.
We have Mohawk iron workers walk which is balancing and getting from one pole to another pole on a cable with different stipulations and variations on there.
We have telephone pole shuffle which involves balancing and getting from one place to another.
We have spider web which you have to use teamwork to get from one side to the other through different nets.
We have whale Wash where you have to balance like on a teeter totter and then we have "islands" which is also similar to zigzag where you have to get from one place to the other um but it is a puzzle in itself!
Yay
"The challenge course was super exciting and very fun it was a great way to get to know more about my co-workers and be able to test ourselves in a really fun environment."
"I thought it was a lot of fun to get to know my co-workers better and also it's a good exercise. You're out in the sun, you're out and about, it's better than sitting in your dorm room playing video games all day!
The challenge course is free to all faculty staff and students. It's a great way for all organizations, different student organizations, Athletics teams, employee groups to really work on their unity together and just have a good time out here on the Challenge Course.
